Alistair Miller: K-theory for groupoid C*-algebras via groupoid correspondences

Title: K-theory for groupoid C*-algebras via groupoid correspondences

Abstract: The task of understanding the K-theory of groupoid C*-algebras is difficult but important. We approach this via groupoid correspondences, which are used as morphisms to transfer C*-algebraic and K-theoretic information between groupoids. I will give plenty of examples of groupoid correspondences and ultimately exhibit their use in computing the K-theory of inverse semigroup C*-algebras.
