Andreas Andersson (UiO) will give a talk with title: An introduction to duality for compact groups in algebraic quantum field theory
Abstract: We review the construction of a complete set of inequivalent physically relevant representations (superselection sectors) of the observables in algebraic quantum field theory (aka local quantum physics). Emphasis will be put on the reconstruction of the field net, the global gauge group and the universal Hilbert space of representations, and how this led to a new duality for compact groups.
