Around 01:00 (1am) on Saturday the 5th of November, the alias login.math.uio.no started pointing to a newer machine.
For most people, this will not lead to any noticeable change. However, as the new host has stronger security settings, the host key will change, and your security settings will probably lead to a refusal to connect. To remove the old key on Mac or Linux, run the following command in a terminal:
ssh-keygen -R login.math.uio.no
When you now try to connect, you should be presented with the new key, showing as
- ED25519/SHA256: 3TZVNeVfIHzDU+Qjv8bqkUxMsG8IZ7n1RBrFFt0RUhE
If you find any software or other configuration lacking on the new server, please contact the sysadmin staff.
