RoCS celebrates four years anniversary

RoCS - Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics is in steady cruise phase after their lift off as a Centre of Excellence (SFF) 1st of November 2017. With 48 employees from around the world they aim high.

The mandatory coffee breaks at RoCS in their snug kitchen (basement of ITA) are one of many important measures of being a Centre of Excellence. It keeps the tone light  in the science groups who are among the world's best within solar physics. 

RoCS has grown from being a small group to having 48 employees from all over the world. The 6-person leader group with Mats Carlson, Viggo Hansteen, Tiago Pereira, Boris Gudiksen, Luc Rouppe van der Voort and Sven Wedemeyer counts for six different nationalities. The 48 employees are from: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Colombia, England, USA, Belgium, France, Slovakia, Austria, Guatemala, India, Portugal, Iran, Switzerland,The Netherlands and Germany. 

All the new employees at RoCS and ITA are now working together at the next big event - the Christmas Party. Another opportunity to getting to know each other better after a year that has been social tough for many.
