Groundbreaking research

Dr. Liakh is recognized for her outstanding research in the dynamics of solar prominences. By employing advanced magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) simulations combined with deep physical insights, she has addressed pivotal questions regarding the behavior of solar prominences, particularly their large-amplitude oscillations and rotational dynamics. Her innovative approach not only enhances our understanding of these solar structures but also contributes to the broader knowledge of solar phenomena.

This well-deserved award comes with a financial prize of €300, reflecting the ESPD's commitment to supporting and recognizing emerging talents in solar research. Valeriia Liakh's dedication is inspiring the next generation of solar scientists and advancing our understanding of the sun’s intricate behavior.
