Sven Furberg Seminars in Bioinformatics and Statistical Genomics
We are pleased to introduce the Sven Furberg Seminars in Bioinformatics and Statistical Genomics, an arena for learning, exchanging ideas, promoting scientific excellence, and triggering collaborations in Oslo, Norway.
The monthly seminars are joint bioinformatics-biostatistics catalyst events promoting scientific excellence and triggering collaborations on computational and statistical research projects related to molecular biology. The seminars are organized in three parts. First, a local trainee briefly presents their research. Second, the guest speaker gives a lecture on computational and/or statistical methods applied to molecular biology and medicine. Third, the audience gathers around simple food and refreshments. As part of the events, invited guest speakers meet local PIs and trainees.
Suggestions for guest speakers are welcome. Please contact Anthony Mathelier.
Dr. Marcel Schulz, Professor for Computational Biology, Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Saarbrücken, Germany, will present his current research.
Dr. Bart Deplancke, Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland, will present his current research.
