Extra fields during inflation and where to find them in the CMB

Planck's data favours a canonical single-field scenario for Inflation, the hypothetic period in the very early universe where it grew exponentially in a very short period of time. However, some theories with more degrees of freedom, which are simple extensions of the canonical single-field scenario, can attempt to explain the current data. In this sense, I will present our work to find these extra degrees of freedom: heavy fields that can be integrated out but leave imprints and features in the power spectrum and bispectrum of the CMB.
