ITA users need to use VPN in order to mount Stornext disk from home or elsewhere
The faculty of Education has written a VPN setup guide in Norwegian
(System Prefs - Network - UnLock - Add a connection (+) and then:
Interface: VPN
Server name: vpn.uio.no
VPN Type: Cisco IPSec
Service Name: Ie. "VP (UiO)"
Under "Authentication Settings":
Shared Secret: merkelapp
Group Name: uio
+ "Show VPN status in menu bar)
In addition you need to mount the Stornext disks.
This is most easilly done in Finder by hitting
Command K
and then type smb://sunflower.uio.no/YOUR_USER_NAME and then Connect
Of course replace your user name with your real UiO user name (short).
