As of February 2024 the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science has a site licence of Professional licences for UiO employees and (master) students.
The MN Faculty has recently entered into a 3-year license agreement for access to the LaTeX tool Overleaf. The agreement means that all employees and students at the MN Faculty get access to Overleaf Professional. Overleaf is an online, collaborative writing and publishing tool for scientific work. It is designed to make the process of writing, editing and producing scientific papers much quicker for authors.
Overleaf can be easily used by logging in with SSO, Single Sign On using your username@uio.no and your UiO password via the login portal: https://www.overleaf.com/edu/uio
In the MN-Overleaf portal you will also find various tutorials and help under "Quick start", "Templates" and "FAQ and Help".
If you already have a user associated with your UiO email, you will have the opportunity to associate your existing account with the MN "Professional" license.
NOTE: If you have paid for a personal or group license at Overleaf, you can request a refund for the remaining part of the contract. All you need to do is to contact Overleaf at support@overleaf.com and say that you no longer need the license you have paid for and that you want a refund for the remaining period of the license.
MN-fakultetet har nylig inngått en 3-årig lisensavtale for tilgang til LaTeX-verktøyet Overleaf. Avtalen innebærer at alle ansatte og studenter ved fakultetet får tilgang til Overleaf Professional. Overleaf er et nettbasert, kollektivt skrive- og publiseringsverktøy for vitenskapelig arbeid. Det er designet for å gjøre prosessen med å skrive, redigere og produsere vitenskapelige artikler mye raskere for forfattere.
Overleaf kan enkelt tas i bruk ved å logge inn med SSO, Single Sign On med brukernavn@uio.no og ditt UiO-passord via innloggingsportalen: https://www.overleaf.com/edu/uio

Hvis du allerede har en bruker tilknyttet din UiO-epost vil du få anledning til å knytte din eksisterende konto til MNs “Professional”-lisens.
MERK: Hvis du har betalt for en personlig eller gruppelisens hos Overleaf kan du be om refusjon på den resterende delen av kontrakten. Alt du trenger å gjøre er da å ta kontakt med Overleaf via support@overleaf.com og si at du ikke lenger trenger lisensen du har betalt for og at du ønsker tilbakebetaling av den gjenværende perioden av lisensen.
