Use

module load gcc/8.3.1

Along with gcc 8.3.1, several other packages comes in new versions:

Valgrind version 3.14.0

elfutils version 0.176

binutils version 2.30

strace version 4.24

OProfile version 1.3.0

SystemTap version 3.3
