Academic Interests

I started my PhD at CEES September 2012. My background is a master’s degree in ecology from NTNU, with a focus on the interface between ecology and genetics. My thesis was about effective population size in house sparrows. Here at CEES I will continue with questions related to genetics, evolution and ecology in the "60+ genome project" with Kjetill S Jakobsen, Sissel Jentoft and Walter Salzburger as supervisors. Genomic sequence data from more than 60 teleost species will be used to investigate the evolution of a large assemblage of teleosts (paracantoperyghii), especially with respect to temperature adaptation and the immune system.
