Of course safety comes first. And when excavating in a cave there are a lot of risks that have to be accounted for. Thankfully we have Sverre in our team, master in keeping us safe. Everyone has received cave suits, helmets with lamps, reflex vests and the most comfortable boots. We have a wonderfully secured scaffold screwed into the rocks, and harnesses to make sure we do not fall into the deep.

But that is not enough, because there are large rocks that are starting to stick out of the walls. And one does not need much fantasy to see how these could come crashing down. But not to fear, Sverre comes to the rescue! His creative mind brings beautifully, intricate constructions that are designed and developed on the spot. Large rocks are secured to the walls with carabiners and ropes, supported by large poles. He has even included specific screws that will bend if anything starts moving, in order to have an early warning sign in place. And it doesn’t end here, because if there is anything you run into you just discuss with Sverre, and he always comes to the rescue. Everyone should have Sverre on their excavation team J
