Several presentations from the Dr. Nielsen (I presume) group

Presenting our work is a premise for fruitful scientific discussions and an opportunity to get feedback on what we do. Attending scientific conferences is therefore of high priority in the Dr. Nielsen (I presume) group.

All active members of the Dr. Nielsen (I presume) group presented their work at the annual CEES student conference at Sundvollen Hotel on October 14th. Dr. Nielsen presented the group and our research focus while Trond gave a talk on our study of the unexplained variation in flower visitation data. Ingvild, Solveig and Arrian gave a brief introduction to their master projects, while Andreas presented some preliminary results from his fieldwork this summer. We all did a great job!

A tradition within the group is to attend the annual meeting of the SCandinavian Pollination Ecologists (SCAPE) October 22end - 25th. This year Dr. Nielsen, Andreas and Trond went to Silkeborg in Denmark to present recent work and get feedback from the best of the best of the best. The presentations were delivered by Trond and Andreas and were well received. We got useful comments and feedback and met a lot of new as well as familiar faces. We are already looking forward to next years meeting in Abisko in northern Sweden.
