CENSSS 3-day workshop on CNES tools

We are happy to invite to a 3 day-workshop on CNES (the French National Centre for Space Studies) tools, from 21st of March to 23rd of March. The workshop is open to all interested!  

The event is free of charge for members of the CENSSS Consortia, students and representatives from Academia.

For industry partners outside of CENSSS there will be a small fee to cover the expenses of food. 

The workshop will take place at UiO at Gunnar Randers vei 19, 2007 Kjeller.

Coffee and simple lunches will be served.

Tentative agenda

 

DAY 1  (Tuesday, March 21)  :

  •  Morning : Conference to present the approach and make demonstrations of CIC tools
  • Afternoon : Tutorials SIMU-CIC (Space mechanics simulator), VTS (3D celest viewer) and STELA (Atmospheric reentry simulator)

DAY 2 (Wednesday, March 22) :

  • Morning : Tutorial First step with IDM-CIC and IDM View (satellite modeling)
  • Afternoon : Modeling of a nanosatellite (Configuration, Mass & Power budgets, Mission scenarios management)

DAY 3 (Thursday, March 23) :

  • Morning : Presentation of applications dedicated to : Power, Communication, Thermal, Attitude Control
  • Afternoon : Additional information and questions/answers

The workshop will be hosted by Jean-Luc Le Gal, whom is a graduate of a French engineering school and has 40 years of experience in the domain of design of spacecraft and information system at CNES.
