Systems Modeling Language version 2 (SysML v2) is an advanced modeling language designed to support the specification, analysis, design, verification, and validation of complex systems. It builds upon its predecessor, SysML v1, and introduces several key improvements to better meet the needs of the Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) community.
Introduction to the SysML v2 language
People using and developing software have been exposed to many information modelling languages, where UML has been used for many years. Since then, SysML was introduced to address the Systems Engineering aspects. To further extend significant improvements in language precision, expressiveness, regularity, interoperability, usability, and extensibility the SysML v2 has been introduced also to capture the domain of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems of Systems, which aligns with engineering processes including PLM, says the instructor, Professor Øystein Haugen.
The successfull workshop counted 23 attendees, representing a diverse group, concicisting of system integrators, data managers, standard developers and programmers.
