Short bio
Ida Scheel is Associate Professor in Statistics at the Department of Mathematics, where she is head of teaching for Statistics, Data Science, Risk and Stochastics. She is a Principle Investigator at BigInsight, a centre of excellence for research-based innovation, developing model based machine learning methodologies for big data. She has a PhD from 2008 in Statistics from the University of Oslo, with a secondment to the Statistics group at the University of Bristol.
