A valuable platform for discovery and learning
There is a common thread in all the activities in BigInsight, but the applications extend into a great diversity of domains. At BigInsight Day, all participants get a chance to see what problems are being tackled in other corners of the expanding state of the art. BigInsight Day also allows researchers to show off their capabilities to industry partners, who can then give feedback on what research can yield the most fruitful applications. Further, the gathering lets researchers discover common research goals across the very large organisation.
Statistics Norway joins BigInsight
In 2017, Statistics Norway (Statistisk Sentralbyrå) has joined BigInsight. They contributed to BigInsight Day with a talk on the modernisation of official statistics in Norway.
Ready for another year
Arnoldo Frigessi, leader of BigInsight, closed the event with the following statement.
We are a community, We share in each others successes, and we worry for each other when things are not working as they should. It is important that we keep reaching out to each other, and keep working together to solve our exciting challenges.
