This autumn, distinguished researchers Ian Horrocks from the University of Oxford, and Sylvia Richardson from Cambridge University have received Honorary Doctorates at the University of Oslo. Horrocks is a computer scientist and logician, and is an important contributor to Optique and SIRIUS. Richardson is a statistician, specialising in Bayesian methods and bio-medical challenges. Richardson is affiliated with BigInsight, and collaborates with the departments of Mathematics and Biostatistics at the University of Oslo.
