Professor Sir Adrian Smith, distinguished statistician and Fellow of the Royal Society, has been appointed to lead the Alan Turing Institute. Professor Smith will assume the post of Institute Director in the autumn of 2018, taking over for interim chief executive Professor Sir Alan Wilson.
