Nanoparticles for immune actives

Guest lecture by PD Dr. habil. Regina Scherließ, Department of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, Christian-Albrechts-Universität (CAU) Kiel, Germany.

Regina Scherließ has a background as pharmacist. She received her PhD in pharmaceutical technology from CAU in 2008 and the habilitation in 2015. She is acting chair of department of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics at CAU.

She has broad international research experience and has been guest researcher (for 2 up to 6 months) at University of Copenhagen (Denmark), University of Colorado Boulder (USA), University of Otago (New Zealand) and Woolcock Institute of Medical Research (Australia).

Research interest

Her research is focused on the development of formulations for mucosal vaccination including nanoparticulate systems and protein stabilization. Furthermore, she has broad experience with administration to the respiratory tract, both nose and lung, using dry formulations also including devices for nasal dry powder administration.
