The multiple aspects of the 5'-nucleotidase cN-II in cancer biology and pharmacology

Guest lecture by Lars Petter Jordheim, Université Claude Bernard Lyon and Centre de Recherches en Cancérologie, Lyon, France.

Lars Petter will tell an interesting story about a young Norwegian scientist that emigrated to France and started up cancer research at one of the most acknowledged cancer research centres in France, Inserm U1052 Centre de Recherches en Cancérologie (CRCL). He has background in analytical chemistry and biology.

In parallel, he started up an associate professor position at Université Claude Bernard Lyon, Faculté de Médecine, and now combines university teaching with cancer research at CRCL.

In his talk he will describe his research related to resistance to nucleoside analogues and work on the 5'-nucleotidase cN-II with its roles in cancer biology and as a drug target.
