I'm a theoretical cosmologist interested in one of the big mysteries of the universe: dark matter. In the standard cosmological model this unknown type of matter is more abundant – in terms of energy – as visible matter. My research focuses on structure formation and observable effects of different microscopic dark matter models. More precisely, I study the patterns in the distribution of matter in the universe, which on small scales crucially depends on the microphysical particle nature of dark matter. This area is effectively probed by current and upcoming Lyman-α observations, such as DESI. Through my work, I aim to deepen our understanding of the universe and the role of dark matter on its evolution.
