DarkTurns Turning the tables on dark matter nightmare scenarios

Duration
01.12.2024–30.11.2029

Dark matter particles might interact with known matter only through gravity, or in other ways so feebly that their detection is out of reach even for next-generation particle-physics experiments. Physics community and funding agencies alike are increasingly alarmed by this very real possibility, often referred to as ‘nightmare scenario’ as it would seemingly bury any hopes of ever uncovering the secrets of one of the most important constituents of the Universe. DarkTurns will challenge this threat with an improved theoretical modelling of the genesis of dark matter, combined with utilizing particularly promising upcoming cosmological data and extended searches for gravitational waves.
