Abstract.
In recent years, topological phases in band structures have received invigorated interest as various sophisticated classification schemes have been developed. Amongst the most intriguing recent developments in this area are multi-gap topologies, which can host non-abelian topological invariants. In this talk, I will provide an overview of these phases in both electronic and phononic systems. I will also discuss possible experimental realizations.
