Objectives

Subgoals

(a) develop a new basis for AI algorithms by implementing structures, processes, and components known from biological neural networks into artificial neural networks;

(b) test the methods in a virtual test system for complex cognitive tasks and transfer learning;

(c) apply the methods to relevant cognitive tasks;

(d) found a new cross—disciplinary group;

(e) educate a new generation of researchers with a unique cross-disciplinary competence to address AI challenges.
