The Department of Physics is a member of the ESA prosjects Cluster, Rosetta og Bepi-Colombo.
Cluster is a set of four satellites investigating the Earth's Magnetosphere.
The Cluster satellites were launced in 2000.
Rosetta landet on the Comet 67 P/Churyumov- Gerasimenko.
BepiColombo is two satellites that is going to investigate Mercury.
They will be launced in 2018.
The Department of Physics has delivered and will deliver test equipment for instruments on these satellites.
We are also involved in analyzing data from the Cluster mission, and research efforts are directed towards magnetospheric boundary layer studies.
