Our subject specialist from the library, Andri Spilker, will hold this course. The course is especially aimed at students who are beginners in LaTeX, but those who are more experienced will also get some useful tips for working on the master thesis.
You will learn:
- Reasons for using LaTeX and Overleaf
- Basic elements of LaTeX and Overleaf, including
- Placing text, equations, figures and tables
- how to find and use templates, with focus on the UiO master thesis template
- how to reference, including reference management
- many other tips and tricks for developing your skills further
Please bring:
- A laptop
- An Overleaf account, preferably linked to your UiO account (University of Oslo - Overleaf, Online LaTeX Editor)
- A picture file in one of the following formats: .jpg, .png, .pdf, .eps
- Your favourite equation
