Two Geoscientists from University of Oslo on EGUs award list for 2023

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) has recently announced the recipients of medals and awards for 2023. Two researchers from University of Oslo, Department of Geosciences are on the list.

Every year the EGU with its awards & medals programme recognises eminent scientists for their outstanding research contributions in the Earth, planetary and space sciences.  The announcement was 30th of November, and was for the award winners for next year’s Union medals and awards. The medal and award winners are honoured for their important contributions to the Earth, planetary and space sciences. 

Two researchers from Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo were at the list for next year’s EGU medals and awards, and we are proud to announce that:

Jessica McBeck, Researcher at GEO-PGP and Njord, will receive the Arne Richter Awards for Outstanding Early Career Scientists. 

Ágnes Király, Researcher at CEED and GEO, will receive the 2023 Geodynamics Division Outstanding Early Career Scientist Award. 

The medals will be officially presented to the winners during the EGU General Assembly 2023 (EGU23) in 23–28 April 2023, in Wienna, Austria.
