The seminar series 'Let's Talk About Energy' is organized by UiO:Energy and Environment at the University of Oslo every six months. The seminars showcase early-career researchers and provide an informal platform for discussing their work on topics related to sustainable energy and energy transition. All interested are invited to these evenings of cutting-edge knowledge in a laid-back atmosphere.

This 'Let's Talk About Energy' event was held at the venue Skatten in Tøyen, where a diverse audience of colleagues, friends, and interested individuals gathered to listen to the five talks of the evening on this Wednesday, 19th of March.

At the event, Torsten Hundebøl Hansen, a postdoc at the Department of Geosciences, delivered a talk titled 'A Subsurface ‘FARRIS’ Factory – How Can Geology Ensure Safe CO2 Storage Offshore Norway?'. Also on the program were four other young researchers from various research programs and departments at the University of Oslo.

In addition to CO2 storage, there were talks on solar panels and transforming nuclear waste into valuable resources, among other topics. See the full programme here.

Several audience members took the opportunity to ask questions to the young researchers after their presentations, fostering a dynamic interaction between the audience and the young researchers.
