GeoHyd Lunch Seminar: Flying drones in Mongolia

Welcome to our GeoHyd Lunch Seminar on Friday 19th of April @ 12:15 in Aud. 1 in the Geology Building, or via videolink using Zoom. The seminar is held by Clare Webster (UiO).

Seminar by Clare Webster (UiO):

Flying drones in Mongolia

Abstract: Using drones to collect field data requires a lot of preparation, forward thinking and adaptation in the field, particularly when travelling far and working in remote locations. In this talk, I will show nice photos and data from our last two trips to Mongolia, contrasting summer and winter drone-based fieldwork. I will talk about why we want to take drones to Mongolia, describe how we go about planning for such a trip and what we do once we are out there, and present some of the data we have acquired.
