Seminar by Thomas Vikhamar Schuler (UiO) and Olivier Gagliardini (Univ. Grenoble:

What can we learn in term of basal processes from the Kongsvegen and Argentière field work campaigns?

Abstract: In this two voices seminar, we will present two glaciological studies performed on Kongsvegen in Svalbard and Argentière Glacier in the French Alps in the framework of the MAMMAMIA and SAUSSURE projects. The two site specificities, the deployed instrumentation, the logistic challenges and the difficulties encountered will be first presented, as well as a short summary of the results obtained from the observational dataset acquired.
