Academic interests

My research revolves around aerosols and clouds and how they impact climate. In particular, I have looked at the impacts of sulfur emissions from volcanic eruptions. For this purpose I have mostly used the Earth system models CESM and NorESM.

Background

2026 present: Postdoc, Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo, Norway.

2025:              PhD in climate modelling. Title for the thesis: The climate response to high-latitude effusive volcanic eruptions. Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo, Norway.

2020:              M.Sc. in climate physics from the Christian-Albrechsts University in Kiel, Germany.

2016:              B.Sc. degree in geophysics from the University of Iceland.
