Little is so far known about seasonal variations of permafrost deformation, for instance, seasonal deformation of rock glacier flow. Satellite radar data are the first type of data that enable the measurement of such variations from space.
The project uses a series of radar interferograms to compute cm-accuracy seasonal time series of, for instance, selected rock glaciers or permafrost areas. The interferograms can be computed using a cloud-computing platform or in-house.
A script collection is available to compute and analyse time series of interferograms.
