Title: What can topological physics do for you?
Abstract: Ever since the discovery of the geometric phase in the 1950s, geometric and topological ideas have played an important role in quantum mechanics. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of recent developments in this field, with a particular emphasis on my own research in band structure topology. I will then discuss the relevance of these results to quantum molecular science.
