Academic interests
My academic interests include education, problem-solving, data science, and programming. I believe that education can make a huge difference, and I want to combine technology with education to make a difference in people's lives. In my master's program, I researched how students solve problems in computer-based assessments and which personalized feedback should be given. In my current PhD program in software engineering, I focus on improving professional developers' skill acquisition through automated coding assessments and process-driven feedback.
Background
I have a solid background in mathematics education and quantitative method research in educational assessment. My master’s thesis focused on analyzing student interactions with computer-based assessments, using log data to uncover patterns in problem-solving and their relationship to performance. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a data scientist, applying my statistics, data science, and machine learning expertise to tackle complex business challenges.
