The prize will be awarded at the bi-annual Norwegian Physical Society meeting, Fysikermøtet, in Bergen on 11 August. Håvard's MSc thesis, A fast simulation method for ultrasonic wave propagation in coupled non-parallel plates, focuses on effective wave propagation modeling in oil wells, aiming to make plug and abandonment more cost-effective.
