The initiative brings together researchers from UiO and the CRMSB (Centre de Résonance Magnétique des Systèmes Biologiques / the Centre for Magnetic Resonance of Biological Systems) in Bordeaux to advance methods in 3D ultrasound time-harmonic elastography.
The funded support covers three travel grants projects that will strengthen research ties and promote knowledge exchange between the two institutions.
The collaboration focuses on the development and application of 3D ultrasound time-harmonic elastography, an advanced imaging technique with strong potential for improving the characterization of biological tissue mechanics. By combining complementary expertise at UiO and CRMSB, the projects aim to push the methodological boundaries of ultrasound-based elastography and explore new research directions in biomedical imaging.
As part of the collaboration, Chaoran Han and Mahsa Sotoodeh Ziksari from UiO will visit the University of Bordeaux to work closely with researchers at CRMSB. In return, Sébastien Salles from the University of Bordeaux will visit UiO, fostering hands-on collaboration, joint experimentation, and scientific exchange.
We greatly appreciate the financial support from UiO:Life Science.
