Hello everyone!
My name is Gabriel, and I am thrilled to join the DSB group as a new Ph.D. student. My research will focus on self-supervised learning under the guidance of my main supervisor, Adín Ramírez Rivera.
I completed my bachelor's degree in business administration at Mälardalen University, where I also studied computer science for two years, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. Following that, I pursued a master's degree in Data Science at Uppsala University. For my master's thesis, I developed a novel method to detect hallucinations in Large Language Models (LLMs) using uncertainty estimation and leveraging fast and memory-efficient deep ensembles.
Outside of academia, I enjoy working out and playing video games. I also have a passion for travelling and enjoy attending concerts whenever I get the chance. I am excited to start this new chapter with the DSB group and look forward to contributing to the team's research endeavors. I am eager to learn and collaborate with all of you!
