Hello! My name is Oscar, I am doing a three month placement with the DSB group and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI). I am a final year PhD student at Bath with Alan Hunter, Roy Hansen, and Narada Warakagoda.
My research area is the use of machine learning with synthetic aperture sonar. I have worked on object detection and classification, self-supervised learning for novel view synthesis, and super-resolution. My current work is focused on 3D reconstruction from single and multiple views of a target.
When I am not at my computer I enjoy hiking, football and tennis. I hope to do some skiing also whilst here in Oslo. I am in office 4470 and look forward to working with you all!
