Welcome to the group, Gabor

We welcome our new PhD research fellow Gabor Gereb!

I graduated as an electrical engineer at the Budapest Technical University and worked as an acoustic engineer at international environmental consultants, while I started a PhD research and a university spin-off on acoustic recognition of urban noise sources (ReSoNo). After leaving the PhD unfinished due to lack of resources, I joined the British Antarctic Survey and spent three seasons at the Rothera and Halley research stations as an electronic engineer.

After my return, I worked 3 years at the sensor systems team of the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE), working mainly on the development of an underwater sensor system with hydroacoustic communication.

My limited free-time is filled mainly with sports: long-distance triathlon, climbing and hiking, but I also play clarinet and write short stories time to time.
