Hi, my name is Vilde and I am very excited to be joining the DSB group as a new Ph.D. student! I will be supervised by Professor Adín Ramírez Rivera and Associate Professor Andreas Kleppe, and will be working with deep learning in medical imaging.
I completed my bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Informatics at the Department of Mathematics here at UiO. For my master's degree, I was lucky to be a part of the MPhil programme in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence at Cambridge University Department of Engineering. My dissertation was supervised by the amazing Dr Miri Zilka, and explored whether LLMs could be made reliable enough to use in a courtroom setting, using Constitutional AI and self-critique.
I will now be trading NLP for images, and cannot wait to learn more about the intersection of medicine and machine learning; potentially making an impact on patients' lives.
In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, painting, and trying to beat the ML algorithm in FPL. I look forward to getting to know you all!
