Modeling centipede locomotion. Figure from this paper.

Professors Akio Ishiguro, Takeshi Kano, and Kotaro Yasui from Tohoku University, Japan, are visiting the ROBIN group. The lab is studying animal locomotion through robotics, and they are interested in topics of morphology and decentralized control. You can read more about their research here.

In the seminar, they will talk about modeling locomotor control in centipedes, and also about locomotion in brittle stars and tubificine worms.
