Workshop: Relations and Technology -- How Do We Relate to and Value Technology? (with Professor David Gunkel)

The research group Technology and Sustainable Futures (Department of Informatics) would like to invite you to the workshop: Relations and Technology -- How Do We Relate to and Value Technology? (with Professor David Gunkel). The workshop will bring into dialogue three alternative perspectives related to how we value and understand technologies´ embedding in the social, ecological, and epistemic spheres.

Professor David Gunkel is a philosopher and ethicist of technology. He has written extensively on robots and artificial intelligence, exploring questions of value, communication, and the challenge of evolving existing legal frameworks to deal with an era of increasingly complex and capable computational technologies.

This workshop will bring David´s thinking into contact with Henrik Skaug Sætra´s recent work rethinking human-AI-environment relations from the perspective of Arne Næss´ deep ecology, and Enya Rogerson´s doctoral research project on alien theory and human transformation.

Bildet kan inneholde: atmosfære, himmel, vann, fjell, økoregion.
