Information Modelling Lab focuses on methodologies and technologies for structuring, integrating, and reasoning over complex engineering and scientific data. Core topics include information modelling, formal logic, semantic technologies, knowledge representation, neuro-symbolic artificial intelligence, and systems thinking, with applications spanning digital engineering and industrial systems.

The lab builds on the legacy of the SFI-SIRIUS Centre for Scalable Data Access, continuing its tradition of interdisciplinary research and collaboration between academia and industry.

The group has contributed to both fundamental and applied research through participation in European projects and large-scale innovation initiatives, advancing the development of the Information Modelling Framework (IMF) and its applications in next-generation intelligent systems.
