Healthcare has been a domain where this potential has been explored, with recent research investigating how doctors and patients can benefit from the support that AI can provide. Research in the area has demonstrated that a series of considerations should be taken seriously, so that AI-based technologies can be designed to contribute to better capacity, improved patient flow and working conditions of health professionals.
Master’s projects under this topic should focus on investigating innovative ways in which AI can help professionals working with diagnostic imaging with their practices. Starting from the understanding from their daily routines, contexts, and norms, the project will seek to identify new ways in which human-AI collaboration can be enhanced in such scenarios.
