The European Land Robot Trial (ELROB) is Europe’s toughest & longest-running field robotics and unmanned systems event. A range of different teams from industry and european universities join this informal event arranged every second year. Students choosing this topic will pick one of the scenarios from the event and, together with their supervisor, decide on a suitable subtopic for a master's thesis.
If several students work together on a common scenario leading to a working technical solution (though typically on separate master's theses), it is possible to join in the physical event in June 2028.
Relevant scenarios:
- Reconnoitring (exploration) of semi-urban structure or Reconnaissance and disposal of bombs and explosive devices, both typically done on the Unitree Go2 robot at ITS
- Transport – Mule or Search and retrieval of human casualties in outdoor environments, both typically done with the AgileX Bunker Mini robot at ITS
