I am Huanhuan Zhang, a Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), currently a visiting student for one year. My research focuses on the transition of large landslides from creep to rapid failure, incorporating friction effects, thermal pressurization using the finite difference method (FDM). I aim to improve shear band modeling and explore the roles of dilation, friction, and permeability in landslide failure.
