Ali Aslan completed his bachelor and master degrees from METU-Physics and IZTECH-Photonics departments respectively both from Turkey. His interest in biophotonics guided him to work on microscopy, microfluidics, and bioimage analysis. He worked on the phase retrieval process and quantitative analysis of lensless holographic microscopy for his master degree.
For his PhD, he will investigate hydrogels and the biomineralization process to understand factors affecting mesenchymal stem cell differentiation. With microfluidics and numerical modeling, the mechanism of bone remodeling is planned to be revealed.
