Marija Plahter Rosenqvist

Marija writes the following about herself: "I have just finished my MSc in Structural Geology and Tectonics at the University of Oslo where I have previously acquired a bachelor’s degree in geology. My master’s thesis was a collaboration between the Njord Centre and the company Volcanic Basin Petroleum Research (VBPR) and concerned the possibilities for CO₂ storage in basalts. The thesis included fieldwork on the Faroe Islands (as an analog to offshore volcanic sequences in the NE Atlantic), and laboratory work (including Scanning Electron Microscope and computer tomography studies). I will be working part-time at Njord for a few months, helping out with administrative work. In the future, I wish to continue my work with CO₂ storage in basalts."
