Paiman writes the following about himself: "I got my Bachelor and Master degrees from Sharif University of Technology in Iran in the field of Civil Engineering (branch of Water Resources Engineering). In the Master, including an internship at The University of Strasbourg, my main work revolved around numerical simulation of unstable density-driven flow and also convective-reactive transport in fractured porous media with the application of CO2 geological sequestration. I studied the influence of different scenarios of discrete fracture networks on the mass transport. My research at Njord will be numerical modeling and imaging of fluid mixing in rocks with evolving microstructure to see the impact of dissolution/precipitation on the mixing behavior at pore-scale."
